Home > Welcome

The Commonwealth Games is the only multi-games event that we, as a nation compete in and for many Athletes the only opportunity to represent their country; Wales.

We, the Commonwealth Games Council for Wales (CGCW), are the national body entrusted to select and send a team of world class Athletes to do Wales proud at the Commonwealth Games.
“It is both an honour and privilege to be selected to represent your sport as a member of Team Wales and it is a real honour for me to be President of the CGCW and promote Welsh sport.

“To everyone involved in Commonwealth sport, I say ‘Seize the moment and enjoy the experience.’”

President, Anne Ellis.
